Hughes vs Alves at UFC 85 in London

Matt Hughes will face Thiago Alves at UFC 85 in London. This main event is a replacement for the original Chuck Liddell vs Rashad Evans main event that was cancelled due to an injury suffered by Chuck in training.

From Matt Hughes' website: "The fight (with Alves) is confirmed, it will be the main event for (UFC 85). Dana just called me with the news. Chuck got hurt and couldn't fight, so he needed a replacement and called me and I said yes ... No matter what happens in this fight, I've got Serra next."

Alves is coming off of two wins over Chris Lytle and Karo Parisyan. A win over Hughes will most likely bump Alves into title contention

Rashad Evans will also face James Irvin at the event.
