Today's news focuses on the winner of the upcoming fight between Kenny Florian and Roger

Huerta, the new "Twist" highlight by popular MMA highlight maker Boondock, and the first female to test positive for steroids.

Winner of Kenny Florian VS Roger Huerta to receive title shot

In a media call on Thursday UFC President Dana White had this to say about the upcoming fight between Kenny Florian and Roger Huerta at UFC 87:
"The fight between Roger Huerta and Kenny Florian, I think the winner of that fight will fight the winner of [Penn vs. Sherk]," White said.

White also said he would be open to Penn or Sherk moving up a weight class to fight for another title if the winner of their bout beats the winner of Florian/Huerta:
"Let's say it's B.J. or Sean [who wins], then I would consider that cleaning out the division," White said. "Then I would sit down, and I'd talk to them about where they wanted to go from there."

First female MMA fighter tests positive for steroids

The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) has suspended female MMA fighter Carina Damm after Damm tested positive for the steroid Nandrolone. Damm becomes the first female MMA fighter to test positive for steroids. She has been suspended by the CSAC for one year and fined $2500.

The CSAC allows a threshold level of 2 ng/ml per fighter however Dammâ€™s level was 37.9 ng/ml according to the CSAC. Damm tested positive after a victory win over Sophie Bagherdai at Femme Fatale Fighting 4 on April 3rd.
