Today's News - Michael Bisping's New Opponent, Gina Carano To Appear on E:60 tomorrow on ESPN, and DREAM 3 results PDF Print E-mail

Today's news focuses on Michael Bisping's new opponent Jason Day, their thoughts on their upcoming fight, Gina Carano's appearance on E:60 on ESPN tomorrow, and DREAM 3 results (SPOILER ALERT).

Michael Bisping vs Jason Day

Michael Bisping was originally scheduled to fight Chris Leben at UFC 85 on June 7th however the fight was cancelled due to a 2005 parole violation by Leben which now has him serving a 35 day sentence in an Oregon jail.

The UFC announced that Bisping would now face Jason 'Dooms' Day (17-5) at UFC 85.

Bisping and Day had this to say regarding their fight (taken from UFC.com):

"Obviously I was looking forward to the Leben fight but I guess it wasn't to be," said Bisping. "You have to respect Jason Day for stepping in on even shorter notice than myself. I am looking forward to really putting on a great performance in London."

"I love this fight," said Day. "Everybody's been asking me who would I like to fight next, and I said Bisping, but who would have thought it would have come about so quickly. He's a great fighter, an exciting fighter, tough as nails, and everybody wants that marquee fight where you get the guy that tests you and you slug it out for two or three rounds. I think he's a pretty good test for me."
