Kenny Florian (9-3) recently confirmed in an interview with MMAWeekly that a bout with him and Roger Huerta (20-1-1) is set to take place at UFC 87.

Florian had this to say about the fight:

"It's kind of rare when you get two guys who are positively number one and number two in the division that are actually going to fight to be the number one contender to fight for that belt later on," said Florian. "I think it will be great for both of our careers, and it's the biggest fight you can put together in our division."

This will be the first time Huerta has fought in nearly eight months since his submission victory over Clay Guida at the Ultimate Fighter 6 Finale. Florian on the other hand recently fought this month with a second round TKO over Joe Lauzon.
