Here are Quinton Jackson’s responses to various questions: When asked about the 205lb weight class and if it’s scary to look down the list of opponents who could fight him: Jackson: I don’t care you know what I’m sayin? (inaudible) This is the way I see it. My job is to fight. I go out there and fight. I have no pressure on me when I fight and if I did I perform pretty well under pressure I think. My job is to fight. I get paid to fight and I think I do pretty good, you know what I’m sayin? I go out there and I just do what I want to do. I let my instincts take over. It’s a fight. So I don’t care who’s next, this that, who I got to fight, I don’t care. On his Round Five action figure of himself: Jackson: I thought it was better then my Pride toy, by far. My momma hatin on me, she said, sayin I look ugly but you know what I’m sayin, everybody else likes it. On other MMA organizations coming up: Jackson: I don’t really have an opinion. I’ve been so wrapped up in my own little world I don’t even know what’s going on. On Forrest’s fight against Shogun: Jackson: I watched it and stuff like that but I wasn’t really impressed. I could tell Shogun wasn’t the same that use to fight in Pride. It seemed like, it looked like Shogun got tired in the first round and Forrest got tired in the second round but he had enough heart to you know, pull it off. It looked like Shogun was a little more tired then Forrest you know what I’m saying. He did a good job but you know if Shogun was the same guy that I fought and Forrest beat him then I’d be, I would’ve been more impressed. On focusing on Forrest’s chin: Jackson: I fight the way I fight no matter how good a guy’s chin is or not. I try to test everybody’s chin. Forrest ain’t no dummy. He worked on his defense and stuff like that, you know what I’m sayin? I’m not going out head hunting the whole time. I’m going through a (inaudible, sounds like Quinton says plethora) of things. I just want to show people why I’m champion. Here are Forrest Griffin’s responses: If Forrest brought in anyone to help him prepare for Quinton: Griffin: No, not really, I mean, you know? I just kind of, you know, work out at the gym and who’s there is there, you know?. Mike Whitehead does a real good job of simulating Quinton. On his biggest concern with Quinton: Griffin: Power. You know he hits hard. I don’t have the best chin in the world. On other MMA organizations coming up: Griffin: I’m happy where I’m at you know? I really don’t have, you know, a concern one way or the other, you know? I’m kind of glad some of my friends have some places to fight but as far as me I’m real happy where I’m at. On Rampage’s comments about Shogun not being the same guy when Forrest beat him: Griffin: Yeah you know I guess he went into that fight injured, you know?. I still thought it was a pretty good fight, you know?. I still thought he was pushing the pace pretty good you know? You know yeah, guys get hurt and sometimes you don’t fight a 100%. It happens to everybody.
