Rigan Machado is an 8th degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, BJJ world-champion, Sambo champion, and according to BJ Penn was at one time the best grappler that walked the Earth.

MMAyou.com: First, how are you doing?

Machado: I'm doing good my friend.

MMAyou.com: Who are the three best BJJ fighters of all time?

Machado: Rolls Gracie. I think Rolls Gracie was one. Jean-Jacque Machado I think. Carlson Gracie.

MMAyou.com: Who would you say are the three best Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters of all time?

Machado: I think for me BJ Penn, Randy Couture, Fedor.

MMAyou.com: Who was the biggest influence on you in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?

Machado: My brothers and Rolls Gracie.

MMAyou.com: Okay. What competition wins are you most proud of?

Machado: I believe like... So many. It's kind of difficult. There's not one, it's a bunch, you know what I mean?

MMAyou.com: Would you like to compete again?

Machado: The right match, the right opportunity, for sure.

MMAyou.com: What would you say is the strategy to beat Fedor?

Machado: The strategy to beat Fedor for me is to take him to the ground because I believe my grappling is better then his grappling.

How are things at your new academy?

Machado: It's doing fantastic.

MMAyou.com:
Is there anything you would like to say to your readers?

Machado: Keep training!

No offense to Mr. Machado, but he can't realistically think that he could beat Fedor, does he? Even if it's true that his grappling is better than Fedor's, which, on paper, it is, if Fedor doesn't want to go to the ground, how are you supposed to make him?

Too bad that in a pure grappling match you don't have to watch out for your opponent trying to pound your face in, which is exactly what would happen if he faced Fedor.

Rigan is jealous of Rickson for a long time thats why he never mention him.
