I have a few questions for you.

1. Do you ever plan on doing any active competition again? Ever since you beat Royler in ADCC, you never went back to competing.

2. Who do you think is the current best grappler?

3. If you feel that fedor is one of the best mma fighters on the planet, do you believe that the rubber guard would be the solution to give him his first loss?


Here is Bravo's response.

1.The promoters of LA Sub X are trying to get Royler to do the rematch, I've already agreed to terms, but it seems that Royler wants too much money, we'll see, keep your fingers crossed, that's the only match that would motivate me to come out of retirement.

2.Marcelo Garcia is the best grappler on the planet right now.

3.The rubber guard is the most effective guard against anybody in MMA including Fedor.

Funny that Royler is asking too much money, you'd think he would want to avenge his loss. Sounds to me and everyone that he doesn't have the confidence to face Eddie.

its a priviledge to go against a guy like royler, not a right. anyone that knows anything about grappling knows that royler would DESTROY eddie 9999 times out of 10000. eddie just happened to win at adcc. royler was killing him like 18-0 before the sub. then in the next round eddie gets demolished by leozinho who royler would have also beat.

Whatever you think of either fighter, conjecture about 'what would happen' just doesn't cut it (but it seems that everyone does it??!!). As it stands, Eddie is 1-0 vs Royler. I've seen that quote "9 times out of 10 Royler would have..." We could speculate all day long but that doesn't change the fact on what occurred.

The real question is:

Who's game has evolved since 2003 more?

I agree, it would be a great match up again...and who knows, maybe Royler has been practicing his RG a bit ;-)

Eddie has every right to comment on Royler, it was a great win. However there is no way he can comment on Fedor or the best way to fight MMA, since hes never fought MMA. Fedor doesnt even let you close your guard let alone get to rubber guard.
